The Potential of Halal Tourism Concept for Diversifying Tourism Attraction Activity through at Parakanmanggu Tourism Village

Abstrak

Pangandaran is a leading tourist destination in West Java Province, has natural potential in the form of coastal stretches, nature reserves, mountains, and rivers that are attractions for tourists to visit when the holidays arrive.  However, based on the 2021-2026 Pangandaran Regency RPJMD, the leading sector, namely tourism, still does not make a major contribution to the Regency's GDP. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with primary data collection techniques through observation, surveys, and interviews. Secondary data collection uses various sources of literature, laws and regulations, statistical data, and others. Halal Tourism is Tourism that serves by providing additional services and adapting to the needs and demands of Muslim tourists. Parakanmanggu Tourism Village located in Parigi District, which was initially famous for  Body Rafting and Kayak  water tourism in the  Batulumpang Plantation area, seeks to innovate by analyzing the potential of halal tourism that integrates the concept of natural tourism potential, agriculture, culture, religion and village produce into the tour package, in order to provide additional attraction and create inclusive tourism,  So that tourism activities in the village have an economic and welfare impact on the community, education and nature conservation. The main goal is to describe tourism potential, identify opportunities for halal product development, and formulate an integration strategy for both in order to create community-based halal tourism destinations. Thus, the results of this research are expected to contribute both theoretically and practically. The results of this study will discuss the results of the analysis and innovation of village tourism packages by integrating natural potential, religion based on local wisdom in strengthening competitiveness and added value for creative economy actors and village MSMEs, so that it can affect the length of stay of tourists in Parakanmanggu Tourism Village in the future. The conclusion of this study is that Parakanmanggu Tourism Village has significant potential to develop into a halal tourist destination, which is supported by infrastructure, natural resources, culture and creativity.
